Text Box: This site and its pages will be dedicated to stopping the Bill now before the committees in Congress. It is our opinion that this “Legislation” will put an industry that is already in trouble in a much more serious situation. The real issue is what this will do to the Borrowers. This Bill is posturing by Legislators looking to put their name on something to show their voters they are doing something to help the crisis that is now all over the news, again our opinion.
What the general public doesn't realize is what this will do to the Real Estate and many other industries. The borrowers who are not A+ will not be able to refinance, purchase or take equity loans. The Banks who will likely be bailed out by this Bill will only do the Cream of the Crop loans and everyone else will be left behind. The average American borrower will have a very hard time getting financed. People that are current in a home but do not have the ability to document all of their income or have less that the best credit, will be stuck without the ability to use their equity.
This Bill would just make a Really Bad thing several times worse.
